Start with the vehicle’s supported AC charging capability and your existing supply. The largest advertised charger rating is not automatically the rate your car will receive. Available electrical capacity, the installation configuration and the vehicle all matter.
The distance from the switchboard to the parking space, mounting requirements and access affect installation work. NDR can assess whether circuit or switchboard changes are required. If charging is planned for a shared building or workplace, include parking access and who will use the chargers.
Before buying a charger, send the proposed model and describe any required features. Ask what the quote includes for equipment, electrical work and setup. If delivery of a new car is approaching, include that date when discussing availability.

I have had Nathan provide me a quote for some new fans. We were looking for a larger outdoor 120. Inch fan he happily took the time to find exactly what we wanted and provided a very detailed quote. Nathan even went to the lengths of putting further support brackets on the top of the roof to ensure we had no issues down the track. Yes! Most homes with single-phase power can accommodate a compatible EV charger, subject to available electrical capacity and network requirements.
Do I need three-phase power for a 22kW charger?
Yes, a 22kW AC charger requires a suitable three-phase electrical supply. We can assess your property and arrange a three-phase upgrade if required.
Can I charge my electric vehicle using excess solar power?
Absolutely! Compatible smart EV chargers can utilise excess solar generation to charge your vehicle, helping reduce reliance on grid electricity.
Which EV charger works best with my existing solar and battery system?

Can you install a Tesla charger?

Will I need a switchboard upgrade for an EV charger?
Not always! Our electricians assess your existing switchboard and electrical capacity to determine whether any upgrades are required for safe installation.
Can you supply and install equipment, or install customer-supplied products?
We recommend supplying and installing our own equipment to ensure quality, compatibility and full warranty support. We may install customer-supplied products on a case-by-case basis, subject to suitability, compliance and warranty conditions. Product warranties remain the responsibility of the supplier or manufacturer.
How much does EV charger installation cost?
The charger selected, cable-route length, mounting location, access and any required electrical upgrades affect the price. A straightforward position close to the board can involve different work from a distant car space. Request a quote that identifies the equipment and installation scope for your property.
Will a 22kW charger charge every car at 22kW?
No. The vehicle’s onboard AC charger and the available electrical supply limit the charging rate. NDR can review your vehicle and property before discussing equipment. Choosing a higher-rated charger does not override the car’s supported charging capability.
Can you quote before I receive my new electric vehicle?
You can enquire before delivery. Send the vehicle make and model, the proposed parking location, your suburb and any charger you are considering. Add your expected delivery date so availability can be discussed. The electrical installation still needs assessment before the scope is confirmed.
What photos or details should I provide?
Send the vehicle and charger models, parking location and any solar inverter or battery details. Photos of the parking space and normally accessible switchboard front can help; do not remove covers. Mention whether the property is a home, workplace or shared building and identify any access requirements.
