before the ceiling work.
Align the lighting with the final furniture and cabinetry layout. For a dining table, consider how the room is used when people are seated and walking through it. Over an island, discuss the pendant arrangement alongside the preparation area and any existing downlights so the whole space works together.
Fittings vary in weight, suspension method, light output and controls. High or sloping ceilings may affect access and the suitability of the chosen product. Share the manufacturer's product details, including the available suspension length, so the mounting and electrical requirements can be checked.
If you want dimming, include that in the brief before choosing lamps or integrated LED pendants. Moving a light can also leave an old ceiling opening to finish. Ask for the electrical work, patching and painting responsibilities to be clear so the installation fits the rest of your project.

I have had Nathan provide me a quote for some new fans. We were looking for a larger outdoor 120. Inch fan he happily took the time to find exactly what we wanted and provided a very detailed quote. Do you install ceiling fans, power points and lighting?
Absolutely! We install and replace ceiling fans, power points, switches, lighting and a wide range of residential and commercial electrical fixtures.
Can you supply and install equipment, or install customer-supplied products?
We recommend supplying and installing our own equipment to ensure quality, compatibility and full warranty support. We may install customer-supplied products on a case-by-case basis, subject to suitability, compliance and warranty conditions. Product warranties remain the responsibility of the supplier or manufacturer.

How much does pendant light installation cost?
The quantity, fitting type, ceiling height, mounting requirements and cable access all affect the quote. Replacing a fitting at an existing point differs from moving it or adding several pendants. Send photos and product details so the team can identify the electrical work and any separate finishing work to plan.
How high should pendant lights hang?
The suitable height depends on the fitting, ceiling, room layout and what sits below it. A pendant over a dining table has different considerations from one in a walkway. Provide the furniture dimensions and a photo of the space so height and position can be discussed for your chosen light.
Can a pendant be installed where a downlight is now?
It may be possible, subject to the existing opening, wiring, support and the new fitting's mounting arrangement. Include photos and the proposed pendant model. The old opening may need different treatment from a standard ceiling point, so have the required electrical and finishing work assessed first.
Can you move a pendant to the centre of my dining table?
NDR can assess a new lighting position and the wiring access it requires. Show the final table position and mention whether furniture or cabinetry may still move. Ask about the old ceiling opening when defining the job, as patching and painting should be allowed for separately where needed.
Can pendant lights be dimmable?
Dimming depends on the fitting or lamp and a compatible control. An integrated LED pendant can have different requirements from a fitting with replaceable lamps. Send the product information and describe the control you want so the combination can be checked before installation.
