An NDR electrician installing a ceiling-mounted light from a scaffold in a gym

Outdoor &
security lighting. Gold Coast.

Come home to a well-lit entrance.

Make paths, driveways and outdoor areas easier to use after dark. Plan lighting around the places you need to see, with controls that suit your routine.

Light the places
you use after dark.

Finding keys at a dark front door, walking down an unlit side path or using a patio with harsh lighting can make an otherwise useful space frustrating. Start with the areas you want to improve.

NDR installs outdoor, garden, security and sensor lighting for Gold Coast properties. We can also assess sensor lights that are unreliable or no longer working, and include repairs in the proposed work.

Describe where you want light and when you need it. A softly lit entertaining area, a front entrance and a driveway can each need a different fitting and control arrangement.

  • Entrance and porch lighting
  • Driveways and access paths
  • Garden and feature lighting
  • Outdoor entertaining areas
  • Sensor lights and floodlights
  • Faulty sensor-light assessment

Choose the light
and how it switches on.

Decide whether the light should respond to movement, operate from a switch or stay on for a planned period. The fitting and controls need to work together. For sensor lighting, explain the approach you want detected and any nearby movement you would prefer it to ignore.

Consider where the beam falls as well as brightness. Light directed into windows or across neighbouring properties can be uncomfortable. Positioning should support visibility at the entrance, steps or path without making the surrounding area unnecessarily bright.

The installation quote depends on the number of fittings, their location, weather exposure and access for cabling. Tell us about existing outdoor power, switches and lights, and whether landscaping or renovation work is planned. We can then assess a practical layout before equipment is selected.

  • Identify the dark areas first
  • Choose sensor or manual control
  • Consider glare and neighbouring windows
  • Check wiring and outdoor exposure
  • Include planned garden or renovation work

Excellent pricing, high-quality workmanship, and a very efficient installation. The entire team was professional and friendly—from the office staff through to the tradesmen and even the youngest apprentice. Communication was excellent throughout the process, the work was completed to a very high standard, and everything was left clean and tidy afterwards. I couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend them.

A few questions,
before you book.

Sensor lights, fitting choices and installation costs explained.

Can you install outdoor, garden and security lighting?

Yes! We design and install outdoor lighting, garden lighting, sensor lights, security lighting and feature lighting solutions.

Do you offer free quotes?

Yes! We offer free, no-obligation quotes across all our services, including electrical, solar, battery and EV charging.

Can you supply and install equipment, or install customer-supplied products?

We recommend supplying and installing our own equipment to ensure quality, compatibility and full warranty support. We may install customer-supplied products on a case-by-case basis, subject to suitability, compliance and warranty conditions. Product warranties remain the responsibility of the supplier or manufacturer.

How much does outdoor lighting installation cost?

The number and type of fittings, cable routes, access and controls all affect the installed price. Replacing a light where wiring already exists is a different job from adding lighting along a previously unlit path. Send your suburb, the areas to cover and any chosen fittings so NDR can prepare a quote for the actual work.

Should I choose a sensor light or a floodlight?

These describe different features: a sensor controls when a light activates, while a floodlight describes a broad spread of light. A fitting can offer both. Tell us whether you want help seeing at the front door, lighting a driveway or making a garden feature visible, and we can discuss a suitable approach.

Can you look at a sensor light that keeps turning on?

Yes. Include the behaviour in your enquiry: whether it stays on, activates unexpectedly or fails to respond. The controls, position, fitting and electrical supply may need checking. Share the make or model if known rather than buying a replacement before the cause is understood.

Can outdoor lighting and security cameras be planned together?

Yes, include both in your enquiry. Describe the areas you want illuminated and the views you want cameras to cover, so the proposed lighting and camera positions can be considered together. Camera equipment and coverage will be assessed for the property.

What should I send with an outdoor lighting enquiry?

A short list of the areas to cover is a useful start. Add your suburb, existing light positions, the behaviour of any faulty sensor lights and whether you prefer movement detection or manual switching. You can email photos to info@ndrtradesolutions.com.au with your name and contact number.
